Job Description

Full-Time Live-in Nanny in Scarsdale, NY $35 per hour

Start Date: Mid-June
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Children: 4-year-old and 8-week-old

About the Family:
Seeking a dependable, experienced full-time nanny for a professional, dual-career household to support the care and development of their two young children. Both parents will be commuting to Manhattan for work, and they are looking for a career nanny who can serve as a reliable extension of their family.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full care of the baby, including feeding, changing, naps, and developmental activities
  • Taking baby to activities (library, classes, walks)
  • Driving 4-year-old to and from camp, preschool, and playdates
  • Light cooking and meal prep for children (mostly reheating from a food service)
  • Maintaining a structured and nurturing environment
  • Supporting age-appropriate milestones for both children
  • Coordinating with the part-time nanny and household assistant
  • Handling after-school routines and activities for the 4-year-old

Requirements:

  • At least 5+ years of full-time nanny experience, including newborns and preschoolers
  • Strong professional references (3-5)
  • CPR/First Aid Certified
  • Up-to-date vaccinations (TDAP, COVID, Flu)
  • Comfortable working alongside other household staff
  • Organized, communicative, warm, and energetic
  • Must be comfortable with a structured home and minimal pet duties (dog in home, but no dog care required)
  • Must be able to drive and comfortable navigating city streets (car provided)

Ideal Candidate:
Professional career nanny who is dependable, proactive, and confident in managing a busy household independently. The ideal person is nurturing, developmentally focused, and comfortable managing two young children with minimal supervision. Someone balanced—active enough to play with a preschooler but mature and calm in emergencies.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $35/hour (40 hours on payroll, remaining in cash)
  • All federal holidays off
  • 2 weeks paid vacation
  • 2 sick days + 2 personal days
  • Car provided for use on the job
  • Long-term role (minimum 3-year commitment)
