Summary

The purpose of this position is to support the research objectives of the clinical research department. This position works with patients, sponsor representatives, physician investigators, and other research staff to facilitate clinical research trials. This position is responsible for coordinating the conduct of multiple clinical research trials.

Position Reports To : Research Manager

Essential Functions

1. Serve as the project manager for multiple clinical trials.
2. Develop and execute a plan for how each study is to be conducted.
   • Prepare for the clinical trial before site initiation.
   • Oversee the enrollment of qualified subjects into the study.
   • Maintain direct & immediate patient contact throughout the length of the study.
   • Follow the visits and procedures outlined in the study protocol.
   • Provide accurate investigational product accountability.
   • Acquire, process, and ship biological specimens.
   • Handle resolution of queries related to study data.
   • Complete the study close-out visit.
   • Archive the study data per sponsor and FDA guidelines.
   • Function as a liaison to the sponsor during monitoring visits and audits.
3. Completes recruitment initiatives through prescreening and contacting patients.
4. Oversees clinical staff as appropriate.
5. Responsible for maintenance and administration of investigational product.
6. Completes feasibilities as appropriate with clinical research manager.
7. Track financial accruals for assigned studies by recording patient visits and expense reports.
8. Keep current on required training and certifications, including, but not limited to GCP & IATA.
9. Travel to investigator meetings and other sponsor-related meetings as required.
10. Required to maintain active Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• AA degree with 2 years of related experience or a high school graduate with 4 years of related experience.
• RN Current licensure in the state of Washington (RCW 18.88) or licensure through Multistate Nurse Licensure Compact (SSB 5499).
• Proficient clinical skills performing phlebotomy, injections, and ECG's.
• Professional interpersonal, written, and oral communication.
• Excellent computer skills.
