At iHeartMedia we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace and are looking for teammates passionate about what we do! **What We Need:** We're seeking a seasoned radio news anchor with excellent writing skills, clear and conversational delivery, and a strong interest in local and state news. **What You'll Do:** + Deliver radio newscasts. + Write news stories for multiple markets. + Maintain deadlines to provide news stories in a timely fashion. + Write clear and concise news copy. + Produce, edit and write content for 24/7 Newswire. + Gather audio from press conferences, live events and partner TV stations. + Monitor sources for breaking news (wires and social media). + Finalize content using digital audio editing software. + Must have general knowledge of all current events including but not limited to political, entertainment, sports and finance. + Repackage content from producers and field reporters for newscasts. + May be called on to anchor or report as needed. + Produce short-form reports (voicers/wraps) for anchors on the following shift. **What You'll Need:** + Knowledge of the Mervin Block style of writing. + Ability to run your own audio board. + Experience with Microsoft Office. + Pleasant, charismatic and well-controlled voice; excellent pronunciation and grammar. + Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, newsroom. + Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. + Must be willing to work weekends. + Previous on-air broadcast experience is preferred but not required. + Journalism degree is preferred but not required. **What You'll Bring:** + Respect for others and a strong belief that others should do this in return + Full proficiency and understanding of job function + Open communication with colleagues and direct reports that encourages collaboration and team consensus + Strong problem solving skills + Efficiency with independent work under minimal guidance + Commitment to process improvement for overall team effectiveness + Professional communication that stresses diplomacy, empathy and patience **Compensation:** Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and alignment with market data. $27.20 - $34.00 **Location:** Burbank, CA: 3400 West Olive Avenue, Suite 550, 91505 **Position Type:** Regular **Time Type:** Part time **Pay Type:** Hourly **Benefits:** iHeartMedia's benefits offering is flexible and offers a variety of choices to meet the diverse needs of our changing workforce, including the following: + Employer sponsored medical, dental and vision with a variety of coverage options (employees meeting ACA measurement) + A 401K plan + Employee Assistance Program (EAP) at no cost - services include telephonic counseling sessions, consultation on legal and financial matters, emotional well-being, family and caregiving + A range of additional voluntary programs, such as spending accounts, student loan refinancing, accident insurance and more!
