Mercy Flights is Hiring a Flight Paramedic!

Summary:
Mercy Flights is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Flight Paramedic to provide critical care transport services via air and ground. This role is essential in delivering advanced life support to patients in emergency situations while ensuring the highest level of medical care, safety, and teamwork.

Work Schedule & Travel:

  • Rotating 24-hour shifts (2 shifts on, 5 days off).
  • Occasional travel for training and offsite assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver advanced life support and critical care during air and ground medical transports.
  • Ensure patient safety and provide exceptional care while following medical protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare teams, dispatch, and hospital staff.
  • Maintain aircraft and medical equipment readiness, cleanliness, and compliance.
  • Function as a team leader in emergency and hospital settings.
  • Attend training sessions and maintain required certifications.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education : Associate’s degree in Paramedicine or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of 911 ambulance paramedic experience (flight experience preferred).
  • Must pass a pre-employment flight physical and functional testing.
  • Certifications/Licenses:
    • Oregon Paramedic License & National Registry Paramedic (NREMT-P)
    • Oregon Driver’s License (within 30 days of hire, if relocating)
    • BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, Neonatal Resuscitation (within 12 months)
    • FP-C & TPATC Certification (within 18 months)
  • Must pass a pre-employment flight physical and functional testing.
  • Weight must be under 230 lbs in uniform for aircraft safety requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
